A third-generation financial planner, Ray Brandon, CFP®, CFA®, serves as Chief Executive Officer of Brandon Financial Planning, Inc. He joined the firm in 1983.

Ray was a 1977 graduate of Memphis University School. He received degrees in economics and finance from Vanderbilt University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude in 1981.

Ray received his Master of Business Administration degree in 1983 from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a Dean’s Award graduate, Sord Scholar, and a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

Ray is president and chairman of the Investment Committee of Brandon Financial Planning. He has earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) degree from the College for Financial Planning of Denver, Colorado, as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst degree from the Association for Investment Management and Research. He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) degrees from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the CFA® Institute and the Financial Planning Association.

As featured weekly columnist in the Memphis Daily News, Ray shares financial, family-focused insights with a loyal following of readers. He is also a member of Idlewild Presbyterian Church, the Downtown Memphis Rotary Club, the Racquet Club of Memphis and the Alumni Clubs of Vanderbilt and the University of Texas.
